Faith Lutheran Church supports international missions through prayers and financial support as well as participating on short-term mission teams to various countries, most recently Panama and Nicaragua.
Faith also participates in funding the construction of a house through Mercy Home Ministries, for a family in need, in Costa Rica.
Volunteer Mission Trips
Central American Lutheran Mission Society (CALMS)
Faith plans mission trips through Central American Lutheran Mission Society (CALMS). Recent trips have included Bible-based English lessons for school children, Vacation Bible School sessions, home construction and the distribution of reading glasses. Our most recent trips have been to La Fragua, Zacapa, Guatemala and Jinotega, Nicaragua. Teams are responsible for all travel and coordination costs. Trips last about one week. One or two trips offered per year. An announcement will be made in the church bulletin, as well as Faith Chronicle, when teams are being formed.
Missionaries Supported by Faith
Josh Lange, CWEF Director of Operations
Faith support Josh Lange, the son of former Faith Pastor Alvin and Sylvia Lange, who is Director of Operations for Concordia Welfare and Education Foundation (CWEF), a Hong Kong-based nonprofit organization that reaches out to people living in material poverty in China and Cambodia.
Concordia Seminary, Nagercoil, India
Faith supports the India Mission Society, including the ministry of Concordia Seminary, Nagercoil.
Panama Mission Society
Faith supports Panama Mission Society and the ministry of Ilse Gutsche among the Guyami Indians. Additionally, Faith volunteers form a short-term mission team annually that travels to Panama share the gospel of Jesus Christ and provide assistance to the poor.
Faith supports the African ministry of Rev. Gary and Stephanie Schulte and Rev. Micah and Robin Wildauer.
